Mesa | 37°14'12.4"N 109°59'35.0"W

Intro

Time, a measure often tied to the rhythm of the sun's ascent and descent. Space, an entity that is perpetually eluding attempts at definition. Mesa & Salt Flats timelapse are a visual meditation on the interplay between time and space.

Salt Flats Timelapse

Salt Flats timelapse, is a collage of still images captured every 5 seconds over a 30 second period, calculates depth of field in a landscape that is difficult to gauge. Mountains appearing to be just a short drive away are in reality great distances from the point in which this visual mediation was captured.

Mesa Timelapse

Mesa timelapse, is a collage of still images captured every thirty minutes over a nine hour period, offers a glimpse into the dynamic nature of our universe. Clouds, ever-shifting and ephemeral, become a focal point in Mesa Timelapse. Their movements serve as both markers of time and modifiers of space. Through this composite, we are invited to reflect on the continuously evolving landscape of existence, where time and space intertwine in a dance of perpetual motion.
