Untitled 002

32°59'01.6"N 115°07'55.2"W

(3) d.1-1/2" x h.4'

Intro

Situated atop the windward crest of a sand dune, Untitled 002 presents three evenly spaced reflective rods. Each rod is equal in diameter and height, constructed from a reflective material that rises from a solid base. The reflective surfaces abstract the surrounding environment, fragmenting it into shifting bands of color dependent on the viewer’s perspective. The rods’ placement and verticality establish a clear sky–ground relationship, while the spaces between them frame distinct fields of the surrounding landscape.
