Punctured through the peak of one hilltop and into the faces of two others, Geoscopic Implant enters the landscape as a foreign instrument. Its presence is forceful—an act of insertion that cuts through the terrain and disrupts its continuity. Yet the resultant implant becomes a means of observation. From within the implant, the earth is no longer perceived simply as landscape, but a section: layers of geology, strata, and time made visible through the act of inhabitation.
