Nested within a terrace of the hillside, Untitled 003 emerges through an act of extraction, its planar geometry becoming interrupted by the undulating surface of the terrain. A set of containers takes shape through the tension between rigid planes and the irregularity of the land. The split geometry does not simply occupy the hillside; it gives form to what has been taken from it, transforming absence into a space that can be inhabited, observed, and contained. In turn, the landscape softens the certainty of the geometry, while the geometry sharpens the character of the land. As the two converge, neither remains unchanged. Instead, they begin to shape and define one another, each sharpening the presence of the other.
